History

Ross Fairweather has been gigging around the Central Belt for around 2 years now, chalking up support with The Zutons at The Carling Academy, Howie Payne (The Stands), Unkle Bob and King Creosote. In September 2007 he formed The Billy Shears band. Ross and The Billy Shears travelled to Toulouse in the South of France in October 2007 to record their Debut album Songs De La terre and play some gigs. Since then the band have supported Emma Pollock (The Delgados), headlined at Nice and Sleazys, played The Sideways Saloon (Manchesters most happening nite, according to NME), supported The Hazey Janes and played the mainstage at Big In Falkirk alongside the mighty 10cc as well as gigging all over the place at smaller venues. The bands sound has been likened to The Beatles and Pink Floyd and has been described in The Daily Record as Breezy Acoustic Folk/Pop.
