32 music continues its commitment to bringing the best in music to Scotland this summer by teaming up with one of the country’s best-loved and most respected clubs for an exclusive night on July 19th. Ultragroove has been at the forefront of the very best in house music since 1999, with guests like Derrick Carter, Dimitri from Paris, Jesse Rose and Dennis Ferrer joining resident Gareth Sommerville in their underground Edinburgh home.
For what will be one of the nights of the year 32 music and Ultragroove are proud to bring you the inimitable CRAZY P. This live 5 piece, led by the powerhouse vocalist and diva extraordinaire Danielle have garnered rave reviews and made friends across the world with their unique, dance floor-friendly anthems. Combining classic soul and funk influences to house with an idiosyncratic twist that is all their own, CRAZY P have recently returned from Australia, where they play to tens of thousands. Early trips to Ibiza with MTV, and a busy festival season leads up nicely to the release of their fourth album, on the excellent 20/20 Recordings. This is an exclusive opportunity to see the band in the intimate confines of Cabaret Voltaire, and one not to be missed.
Support in the main room comes from one of the finest house DJs in the UK, Stuart Patterson. Fresh from his new Shoreditch venue East Village, Stuart returns to Ultragroove and says hello to 32 music with a reputation based on the wonderful Soulsonic and Sundaysonic parties and his Lodge bar. Stuart is also a member of the legendary Faith crew with Terry Farley and Dave Jarvis, who will be taking their house styling to Ibiza, Croatia and beyond this summer. He joins us in part to celebrate the imminent release of the eagerly awaited new Faith comp on BBE Records, House Ain’t Dead, including tracks and remixes by Ame, Ron Trent, Dixon, DJ Spen, Henrik Schwarz, Radio Slave, Francois K, Pepe Braddock and Prosumer.
Ultragroove founder and resident Gareth Sommerville and Solescience’s Nick Yuill in their SHOOT THE PUMP guise host back room antics. Expect boogie, slo-mo disco, soul and old-skool house vibes.
All in all, 32 music and Ultragroove will be an event to be remembered, combining the best in live music with exceptional DJ sets.
