32 Miles to breakfast
History
Formed in the final months of 2005 on the West Coast of Scotland, 32 Miles To Breakfast are truely unique. Their infectious sound has already caught the attention of many in the industry and they are well on their way to brighter things.
32 miles to breakfast are the end result of a group of people craving an output for their natural creativity. The sound is the result of four distinct personalities and their influences coming together and creating a sound which is purposefully rock/pop mainstream and yet subtle in it’s inclusion of many other styles; such as Acoustic rock, Punk pop, Rock-a-Billy and in some cases a slight tinge of Reggae. This wide range is accomplished through the members: Song writer and lead singer Alex McMahon with his honest and inspiring lyrics coupled with a unique and emotional vocal tone, William McMahon who’s melody drenched and reach for the stars style of lead guitar very much directs the band, on drums James White , who’s drumming captures the melodic spirit of the music and who’s technical ability still shines without dominating. And finally Mike Farrel ; a bass player who’s fluent and attractive style of playing are only the beginning of someone who’s many musical talents also include Saxophone, Bag pipes, Keyboards and vocals. It’s with this ammunition in their locker that 32 miles to breakfast have played in Glasgow’s well known venues such as The classic Grand, King Tuts, Barfly and the Barrowlands; and never once failed to leave an impression on either the punters or the venue promoters.
