The Cuban Brothers are unique. Born of the loins of seventies Havana, their legendary performance combines music, riotous comedy and sensational dancing, with an energy that needs to be seen to be believed. Having stormed clubland with their passionate attitude towards partying and performance, Los Hermanos Cubanos are a phenomenon. From Manumission, the NME awards and MTV to private parties for Elton John, Robbie Williams and appearances at the biggest festivals in the world, the Cuban Brothers are an unmissable live experience.

DJ Gino has been an avid music fan and collector since the late eighties. His first love was hip hop and most of his pocket money back then was spent on the latest import 12 inch plastic that he could get his hands on. Fast forward to 1996 and the internationally recognised Motherfunk night was born. Motherfunk gave Gino an opportunity to play the breaks and samples which where used in the early hip hop records that he had craved for as a teenager and this opened his mind to many genres which he still drops and blends to create a unique party. Expect to hear anything from soul, latin, disco, boogie, rap and funk artists.
The night went on to be a great success and still remains a staple in Edinburgh’s clubbing week now, 12 years later. Guests at the night have included Cut Chemist, Gilles Peterson, Keb Darge and Benji B and Gino has also warmed up for acts such as Jill Scott and James Brown and played alongside Djs such as David Holmes and Maseo of De La Soul. Gino also has played guest slots at renowned nights in major cities around the world including New York, Amsterdam, Paris and London.
