Capitol will be hosting its very own Fresher’s festival within their live music venue this September, in association with 32music.
Capitol will be showcasing some of the top emerging acts from the UK’s thriving music scene and providing Glasgow’s new and existing students with an amazing venue in which to take in the performances.
Running from Friday 12th to Sunday 28th September, some of the acts confirmed so far are; The Law, Figure 5, The Redwalls, Tempercalm and ex-Speedway singer Jill Jackson. These acts will be supported by some of Scotland’s most exciting, up and coming bands and will be sure to provide the student’s with some memorable nights.
As a finale to the Fresher’s Festival and continuing their programme of supporting live music in Scotland, on Friday 3rd October at Capitol, 32music will host a free entry, showcase night featuring some of the most exciting new bands around. We have details under raps at the moment but keep your eyes peeled for details and competitions via 32music.com and social animal in the coming weeks….this will be a very special gig that is NOT to be missed.
With a great venue, live bands and amazing drink promotions throughout the festival as well as some innovative input from 32music, this year’s festival proves to be a MUST within the Glasgow musical calendar and is a great way to welcome the new students to our amazing city.
