History

Scottish piano-based singer/songwriter. Growing up in a small village in the scottish highlands he immersed himself in the music of Van Morrison, Otis Redding, Cat Stevens and The Band. At the age of sixteen he began playing in local bars and went on to study at the Royal Colege of Music in London. Since leaving college in 2004 he has performed extensively across the UK and abroad, and recorded a collection of original songs in Ireland produced by composer Sacha Putnam (Bush, Football Factory) and Ciaran O’Shea (Chester Bennington, Linkin Park). In 2007 he supported Judie Tzuke at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall, Marillion at the Liverpool Academy, appeared at the Belladrum Festival in Inverness-shire and performed for Rod Stewart, Bob Geldof, Tori Amos and Natalie Imbruglia amongst others. He has just signed a deal with London based Indie label Out of Bounds Music and will be recording an EP over the forthcoming months.
